Reverend Dennis Frances

Dennis K. Francis was born on December 1, 1963 to Cora L. Francis and the late Rev. Percy L. Francis. Dennis is the last of three children (Josalind and Joseph). He is married to Yolanda Palmer Francis and is a proud husband and father.
“I was raised in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where my father pastored for over 40 years. My parents felt it most important to raise us in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We believe what the scripture has to say about rearing children, Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  This precept is very important for all members of the body of Christ.

In 1997, Dennis accepted the call to the preaching ministry while being a member of the Circle of Faith CME church under the leadership of Dr. Lynell Carter. After spending a year of training and teaching under Dr. Carter, Dennis was licensed as a local preacher and became a part of the teaching/street ministry. “Serving under Dr. Carter was very inspirational and helpful.  Dr. Carter allowed me to use the gifts that the Lord had given me and therefore I began to mature spiritually.”

In 1999, Dennis left the Circle of Faith Church and became a member of the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church family under the late Pastor Albert McDaniel. “I was praying to go to a church where I could further the ministry that the Lord had placed in my hands. Landing at Ebenezer was the best thing that happened to me. Pastor Albert McDaniel was a great leader.”

“After the passing of Pastor Albert McDaniel, my present pastor Chris McDaniel took over and we have not looked back. Pastor Chris McDaniel and the ministry staff are great people. We are family, just like children in the Lord should be.”
In 2005, Dennis graduated from the College of Biblical Studies with a Bachelor of Science in        Leadership/Bible Theology. “The Holy Spirit, education and the leadership experiences at Ebenezer has allowed me to mature even more.”
His favorite scripture is Romans 8:1-2 “There is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
