Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Missionary Society
The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Missionary Society, accepting Christ's command to "Go ye there-fore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew28: 19) is a ministry of the church whose major purpose is to promote growth in witnessing and working in the church, home and community.
With this goal in mind, the Mission meets for one hour every Wednesday evening from 6:30 p. m. until 7:30 p.m. In this meeting we worship through singing, praying. studying and dis¬cussing God's word so that we may grow spiritually and become workers for God who need not be ashame.
In our community involvement, we visit the sick and shut-in members as well as others who are not members of Greater Ebenezer. At the home visits we share the word of God, share non- perishable food items, and financial blessings.
We offer to use our cars to transport elderly of handicapped people to church, whether they are members of Greater Ebenezer or not.
For our members who have an illness or death in the immediate family, we give financial support. Our "Share and Care" fund of the mission is designated to give food and other aid to the needy.
We have adopted as our Motto the chorus of the theme song of Mission # 2
